More Creed Cemetary

I warned you all…..I love old cemeteries!  I made several visits back to this one. How beautiful is the Colorado blue sky anyway..????There was a quaint, old abandoned church that was fun to photograph from different angles and with different types of light.I loved it’s roof and steeple!….and of course I had to attempt one with my little Fisheye!  You can tell that this one was early in the morning……there is even a self portrait shadow in the right hand corner.  I always forget to think about that, especially before I have had my coffee!!

Morgen!!

We had dinner at Rob and Tracie’s home last week.  The pot roast was awesome, but Morgen naturally stole the show!  She is growing so quickly!  She is a very observant little girl.  She was really watching everyone and everything with great interest.  I did snap a few shots of her while we were finishing up dinner, but through no fault of my beautiful little model, I am not terribly pleased with them.  I don’t know where my brain went, but for some reason, my camera was set on jpg. I was not worried about my white balance, because I can fix it when I shoot in RAW, but it is not such an easy fix in jpg.  I shot a couple of images with my flash, but then decided to switch to just using a high ISO.  Anyway, the short story is that my colors are off, but you can still get a view of beautiful little Morgen!  I hope to go back and try again this coming Tuesday.  I will definitely pay more attention to my settings!

You can see how intent she is about watching what is going on!  The little sweetie is working on her first tooth as well. The one shot where I used flash….quite a difference in color!  But I still did not show off her baby blues!! Now, one more to just show the “impish” side of her. Do you think that Morgen has her Aunt Reilley wrapped around her cute little fingers?

Finding Cattle In The Colorado Mountains!

I recently spent 3 days riding in the Colorado mountains with my sister, Ronna, her husband Jerry, nephew,Chad and his wife Michelle looking for cattle. We were joined by Duke, the dog, several horses and two of thier friends Galen and Melanie. It was an awesome experience! The weather was perfect and we spent the night in their small cabin. They run their cattle on a lease in the Wilderness Area, so no motor driven vehicles are allowed once you are in the Wilderness designated area.

This is a mixture of images from all days, 2 cameras and several photographers! The video is only around 2.5 minutes, but it took about 4 minutes to load over my DSL. So my advice is start it loading and go grab a cup of java or a glass of wine and then sit back and …… Enjoy!

By the way….you will need to have Quick Time7 or later installed in order to watch this movie. This link will take you a download site for QuickTime!
