Trinket????

My husband called me on his way home from work yesterday to tell me that he had picked up a little trinket! We are going to the opening Oregon Duck game this weekend and I assumed that it would be something to wear to the event! Well, I got part of that right, as it did come in a bright yellow bag……but with the word Nikon on it! Whoopee, my little trinket is a brand new gorgeous Nikon lens…….!!! Yes it is the 14-24 2.8, perhaps one of the most incredible lenses available today! I only hope that I am worthy of it’s capabilities!!!! Thanks Bobby! Of course I had to race right out and take some shots! I love this lens!

I was shooting these giant sunflowers last night, but I really wanted to shoot them this morning with the sun shining on them! These bad boys are over 10 feet tall, so I am looking up into them! I am going to try to drag Bobby out there tomorrow morning so I can get some perspective!

Frisbee and my Nikon

I spent a lot of time last weekend playing with my camera. I loved being able to practice some fun action shots! I just love how the frisbee is just hanging up there and the focus of this Aussie!

Fisheye Play

Last week I spent some time playing with my little Fisheye. I love the perspective that you can get with this lens! For those of you who were so kind to support me through my cropping/printing dilemma yesterday, the first image is what I was playing with. If you look at it, you can tell that any cropping on either side would completely destroy the story of the image! I do believe that 8×12 or 4×6 images will become my print size of choice! Thanks to my friend Ray, I finally understand the whole aspect ratio concept now!!!

Here are two more fun Fisheye images!
